Pursuit suspect drives on rims
A suspect in a stolen vehicle continues to lead CHP officers on a pursuit, even while driving on the rims.
LOS ANGELES - A woman driving an allegedly stolen contractor’s truck led authorities on an hour-long pursuit through Los Angeles County Thursday morning.
The police chase, which saw the suspect casually vaping while evading authorities, ended peacefully after spike strips disabled the vehicle near the Antelope Valley.

The incident began around 10 a.m. in the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Division.
According to authorities, the suspect was driving a traffic management truck equipped with an electronic digital sign and various road equipment like traffic cones.
The California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit as the vehicle traveled north on the 5 Freeway and onto the 14 Freeway.
SkyFOX over the chase caught the suspect occasionally speeding but mostly maintaining a steady pace while vaping behind the wheel.
The pursuit took a turn when spike strips in the Palmdale-Lancaster area, where CHP officers deployed spike strips.

Stolen truck pursuit leads to Santa Clarita Valley
The pursuit of a stolen vehicle moved through the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys on Thursday morning.
This led to the driver's side tire shredding, but the suspect continued to drive on a bare metal rim until the rear tires were also flattened.
The chase ended around 11:15 a.m. near Rosamond.
The woman surrendered to officers during a felony stop and was taken into custody.
No injuries were reported.
