Officials search for 73-year-old missing hiker near Mt. Waterman

LOS ANGELES (FOX11) - Authorities Monday continued to search for a hiker who went missing over the weekend.

Officials said 73-year-old Eugene Jo went missing on Saturday after he separated from his group near Mt. Waterman in the Angeles National Forest.

Search dogs and a crew of 24 people from multiple Los Angeles Sheriff search teams were vigorously searching the area for him on Sunday.

The Montrose Search and Rescue Team set up a command post at Newcombs Ranch on Monday with 35 rescuers from five counties assisting in the search.
