Michael Jai White on new film 'Vigilante Diaries' and finding his soul mate
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Michael Jai White stars in the upcoming film "Vigilante Diaries," which centers around a team of black-ops agents turned crime-fighters, led by "The Vigilante."
The actor stopped by Good Day LA on Wednesday to talk about the action-comedy film, which premieres in select theaters this Friday (June 24), as well as his "soul mate."
The movie centers on the dark world of vigilante justice. As a kid, White said he was somewhat of a playground vigilante.
"I used to fight the bullies. I was kind of like the first 'Dexter'," he said jokingly.
White also knows seven styles of martial arts and started practicing when he was 8-years-old.
After White met his current wife, he decided to write a letter on his Facebook page to his followers titled "APOLOGIES TO ALL MY EX'S!"
"It was really about what I learned about women," he explained. "...I thought the neediness could not be quenched. Until I really found my soul mate, and then all that stuff that I thought women were asking for that we couldn't produce, that became natural to me. I found my best friend."
The post went viral being shared more than 56,000 times.
"The day I sent that out, I went to the airport and about 11 men stopped me," he said. "They wanted to say thank you."
