Man attacked after confrontation on illegal dumping

A man was attacked after he witnessed three men illegally dumping trash in Pomona. As he attempted to confront them, one of the men threw a large concrete block at the victim's windshield.

The victim, Amos Young, was driving on Towne Avenue underneath the 60 Freeway when he went to confront a man about illegal dumping and started recording the activity on his phone.

One of the suspects grew increasingly aggressive after he noticed he was being recorded, and he threw a large concrete block at the car, shattering Young's windshield, prompting him to contact police.

The suspects remained on the loose Sunday. One of the men left the scene on foot, while the others fled the scene on a red Dodge Durango with California disable person's tags "108RJ."

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
