Large fire breaks out at hotel in Camarillo

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - A large 2-alarm fire destroyed a hotel in Camarillo Tuesday.
Ventura County Fire officials say the fire broke out earlier in the afternoon on the second floor of a 4-story hotel that was under construction.

Crews battle fire at building under construction in Camarillo
The Ventura County Fire Department is battling a blaze at an under construction hotel in Camarillo Tuesday night.
A little before midnight, Ventura County Fire Department said the majority of the fire is out but the building suffered extensive structural damage, preventing firefighters on scene to make entry to get the full knockdown.
The southbound Highway 101 was closed at Las Posas before it eventually reopened late Tuesday night.
Smoke can be seen throughout parts of Ventura County.
Officials did not specify the cause of the fire. As of late Tuesday night, no injuries have been announced in the fire.
