Unemployment numbers are at an all-time high due to coronavirus. However, Allied Universal is now hiring security guards and you can apply online.

PASADENA, Calif. - Safety is key right now when it comes to just about everything we do in our daily lives during the pandemic. We not only want to protect our families but our property too. That’s why there’s a demand for security guards.

Allied Universal, one fo the largest security providers, is looking to hire 1,200 security jobs.

If you don’t have a job, by the end of the week you certainly could. Brenda Studley is the Vice President of recruiting and says job-seekers are invited to their first drive-thru hiring event in Pasadena.

“You interview right there sitting in your car with the air conditioning on. And the hiring manager will ask questions and to really understand you know, what your needs are for shifts and locations, and we can make a job offer right on the spot,” Studely said.

Basically, drive-up looking for work and drive-away with a job, no experience necessary!

“What we require is that they are dependable, trustworthy, responsible, phenomenal customer service skills for our clients. We will provide the training in California, you do need a State Guard card license, so we'll provide the training for you to get the license,” she added.

All are welcome to apply and are encouraged to pre-register beforehand so applicants can be assigned a designated time to show up.

“We have a lot of women who are in security professional positions who provide great customer service to our clients. I'm also very responsible and dependable so yeah, we love diversity. We love female and male. So we have a lots of opportunities just based on your skillset.”

Studley also mentioned they do have flexible hours, the company will find you work closest to where you live and they offer benefits like health insurance, 401K etc.

It’s happening Wednesday, May 27 at the parking lot located at 320 North Halstead Street in Pasadena from 10 a.m. through 1 p.m.

While it is encouraged you pre-register they will be able to register folks onsite otherwise you can always apply online at jobs.aus.com.
