Two people, including her brother, were arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and gross negligence.

A 21-year-old woman is dead, and her brother is one of two men facing felony charges, following a suspected street racing crash in Mission Viejo. 

Authorities arrested Aiden Deciderio and Jaime Rojas after Shalia Deciderio lost her life in the high-speed collision Thursday night.

What we know:

Authorities responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash in the area near Los Alisos Boulevard and Mustang Run on Thursday just after 9:30 p.m.

The victim, 21-year-old Shalia Deciderio of Rancho Santa Margarita, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

After an investigation, police placed two individuals under arrest in connection with the crash. 

Authorities identified the suspects as Deciderio's brother, Aiden, and 20-year-old Jaime Rojas. 

Both men face charges of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.

What we don't know:

Investigators have not yet clarified the exact timeline of events leading up to the impact.

It's unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident, or how fast the vehicles were traveling when the crash occurred. 

Police have also not disclosed whether either driver sustained injuries requiring medical treatment or if additional passengers were inside the vehicles at the time of the collision.

Formal court dates and bail arrangements for Aiden Deciderio and Jaime Rojas have not yet been announced by county prosecutors.
