Body of woman discovered near hiking trail in Malibu

MALIBU, Calif. - Authorities are investigating the death of a female hiker in the Malibu area Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office responded to the Circle X Ranch located in the 12800 block of Yerba Buena Road shortly after 2:30 p.m. for a report of a missing hiker.
They located the body of a woman who is believed to have possibly suffered from heat exposure, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The name of the woman has not been released. No further details were immediately known.
