Meet the Westcliff University surf team

Westcliff University, a small and largely unknown school in Irvine, California, built an unusual collegiate program by offering scholarships and academic flexibility for surfing. What initially seemed too good to be true quickly proved legitimate, and within a few years the team rose from nonexistent to competing for national championships, finishing second in the nation last year.
