49% of Americans worried about affording gas

A new AP-NORC poll shows that about half of U.S. adults (49%) are now "extremely" or "very" concerned about being able to afford gasoline in the coming months. This marks a significant jump from July 2026, when only 39% of respondents expressed the same level of worry.
