Underground market for In-N-Out delivery explained
Because In-N-Out famously refuses to partner with delivery apps like DoorDash or UberEats to preserve food freshness, Californians are turning to an unofficial "black market" on Facebook Marketplace. An investigation by L.A. Material found that freelance drivers are offering to brave the chain's notoriously long lines to deliver burgers, fries, and shakes for a premium—sometimes charging up to $50 in delivery fees on top of the food cost. However, the underground service comes with risks, as some "burger brokers" demand payment upfront via Zelle or CashApp and have reportedly scammed customers without ever delivering the food.
