San Andreas fault moving faster than expected

The San Andreas Fault may be moving faster and more consistently than previously thought, according to new research from San Jose State University. Scientists studying ancient seismic activity at Sanborn County Park revealed the findings just a week after a 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit the nearby Hayward Fault in Oakland.
