BUENA PARK, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Police on Monday sought the public's help in tracking down a robber who targeted two Chevron stations in the city of Buena Park and shot a cashier in one of the heists.
No one was injured in the first stick-up, which occurred at a Chevron station at 6392 Beach Blvd. about 10:15 p.m. Friday, according to Buena Park police Sgt. Mike Lovchik.
But in the second robbery at 7990 Valley View about 3:20 p.m. Sunday, a cashier got into a scuffle with the suspect, who pistol-whipped and shot the victim in the leg, he said. The victim was taken to an area hospital with
injuries not considered life-threatening, Lovchik said.
The robber got cash in Friday's stickup, but did not get any money in the second holdup, the sergeant said.
The suspect is a Latino man about 35 to 45 years old, 5-foot-10 and weighing about 180 to 200 pounds, with a shaved head and tattoos on his lower right arm and possibly on his neck.
The robber fled Friday in a black 2009 to 2014 Ford F-150 extended cab pickup truck with towing mirrors, chrome bumpers and rims, a black grill and tinted windows.
