Three men, at least two of them armed, carjacked a Lyft driver in South Pasadena early Sunday morning, according to police.

The carjacking took place some time after 1 a.m. in the 1800 block of State Street, South Pasadena police said.

According to police, the Lyft driver picked up three men in Los Angeles who then had the driver stop at two locations before making a final stop on State Street. When they reached State Street the driver said that one of them pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the driver. The suspect told the man they intended to steal his car and take his personal property as well. The driver said a second passenger also had a handgun.

The driver then surrendered his vehicle and personal property to the robbers, police said. The suspects then drove his car west on State Street.

One of the suspects was described as a bald, Hispanic male, 20 to 25-years-old, with a tattoo on the back of his head, police said. A second suspect was only described by the Lyft driver as a Hispanic male. The third suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 30's by the driver.

Anyone with information on these robbery suspects was asked to call South Pasadena police detectives at (626) 403-7280. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
