Why social distancing can save lives amid COVID-19 pandemic

Social distancing is not only about preventing the illness itself, but rather, slowing the rate at which people get sick.

County officials say they understand these measures are challenging, but social distancing will help to protect all residents in the communities. Public Health officials encourage older adults and those with chronic medical conditions to take additional precautions to avoid getting sick with the disease.
