LOS ANGELES - Anaheim police are warning people about a new tactic being used by criminals -- hiking into neighborhoods to steal valuables from homes.
The Anaheim Police Department put out a simulation video showing how these criminals are doing it.
The burglars are dropped off near a trail, they carry their tools with them, and break into homes taking jewelry, expensive purses, and small expensive items.
Then, they hike back to a waiting SUV and get away.
If you see anyone suspicious on a trail, contact police immediately.
