WILMINGTON, Calif. (FOX 11) - Authorities Monday asked for the public's help locating the gunman who shot and killed a young man in Wilmington.
Jose Guadalupe Vera, 18, was fatally shot in the 800 block of North Island Avenue around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Vera was pronounced dead at the scene. His home town was not known.
"When officers arrived (they) located the victim ... lying on the sidewalk at the apron of the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,'' police said in a statement.
The suspect vehicle was described only as a light-colored compact. No description of the suspect or suspects was available.
