LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles County has issued a revised health order allowing additional businesses to reopen as early as Friday, June 19.
These businesses include nail salons, tattoo parlors, piercing shops, cardrooms, bars, wineries, breweries and tasting rooms.
These businesses are allowed to reopen with strict health protocols such as physical distancing and face coverings.

This revised health order comes as the county reported another 36 deaths due to the coronavirus, along with 1,051 new cases. The county's death toll has now topped 3,000, reaching 3,027, while the number of cases stands at 78,227.

Residents react to Newsom’s face mask mandate
As more businesses reopen in Los Angeles and Orange counties, Governor Newsom issued a mandate Thursday making it mandatory for all California residents to wear face masks.
County officials stressed the need for individual businesses to meet required protocols before reopening. Employers and customers will be required to wear face coverings when around other people and maintain social distancing of at least six feet.

Los Angeles County has had a long-standing order requiring residents to wear masks whenever they are mingling with other people outside of their own households. Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday codified that order statewide, mandating face masks for people in practically all situations when they are outside of their homes and near other people.
The number of people hospitalized in Los Angeles County has slowly risen over the course of the week, but not dramatically. County health director Barbara Ferrer said Wednesday, however, the number has been generally holding
steady, and is down dramatically from the early days of the pandemic.
