Pyrite Fire continues to burn in Jurupa Valley
By Friday night, the Pyrite Fire burned over 200 acres. Evacuation orders and warnings remain in effect.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. - All evacuations have been lifted in Jurupa Valley as the Pyrite Fire that broke out in the area reached full containment.
What we know:
According to Cal Fire Riverside, the Pyrite Fire broke out on Sept. 5 around 5:20 p.m. near Pyrite Street and Granite Hills Drive.
The fire burned an estimated 551 acres and reached full containment just before 6 a.m. on Sept. 9.
At last check, 551 acres have burned and 95% of the fire is contained.
No injuries were reported.
All evacuation orders and warnings have since been lifted.
What we don't know:
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
