Ice Cube buys Jean-Claude Van Damme's Marina Del Rey home for $7.25 million
MARINA DEL REY, Calif. (FOX 11) - Rapper, actor Ice Cube (whose real name as O'Shea Jackson) just spent $7.25 million on a home for sale in the Silver Strand area of Marina del Rey, that belonged to 90's action star, Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The six bedroom, 11-bathroom home was built back in 2011, Van Damme purchased it a year later for $6 million and has now made a $1.25 million cool-as-ice profit on the sale to Cube.
Located on the water of the Grand Canal, the modern-contemporary home measures 7,574 square feet, and has imported fixtures and appliances throughout.
The MLS sale listing referred to the home as a "trophy property."
The home also includes a professional grade chef's kitchen, deck terrace, 360-degree view rooftop pool, massive home theater, wine cellar and a workout gym.
Ice Cube's was born in Baldwin Hills, and was living in the Encino area since 1996.
