King Fire, Hawk Fire burn in SoCal
The King Fire in Gorman is now 40% contained, while the Hawk Fire in Acton is 42% contained.
LOS ANGELES - Crews fully contained a fire that burned for a couple of days near the community of Acton.
What we know:
The so-called Hawk Fire broke out around 3 p.m., August 14 in the 35900 block of North Tremar Drive.
Before reaching 100% containment by August 18, the fire stretched to about 300 acres, according to Cal Fire.
A firefighter suffered a minor injury last week, the department said.
What we don't know:
It's unclear what caused the fire.
