Child shot during apparent road rage incident on 215 Freeway near Devore

DEVORE, Calif. - A child suffered a gunshot wound in an apparent road rage incident Thursday night on the north 215 Freeway near Devore, authorities said.

According to San Bernardino Fire, a call about a shooting involving a family of four came in around midnight.

The incident reportedly began with the suspect and victim both stuck in a traffic jam. That led to an exchange of words — before the suspect fired off between six and twelve rounds.

The wounded, juvenile gunshot victim was taken to Loma Linda Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The gunman drove off. No suspect description has been released.
