8-year-old killed, 4 hurt in Riverside crash
An eight-year-old was killed after a head-on collision in Riverside. Four others were hurt in the crash. A young woman was driving three younger siblings to school in the one car. The driver of the other car was in critical condition.
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - An 8-year-old child died following a violent head-on collision in Riverside Tuesday. The collision was caught on video from a nearby home.
Authorities responded to reports of a two-car crash around 7:30 a.m. in the area near Arlington and Stover avenues.
According to Riverside Police, the driver of a white Honda was traveling westbound and somehow veered onto the opposite lanes of traffic, crashing head-on with a gray Nissan that was traveling eastbound.

Child killed in head-on crash in Riverside
An 8-year-old child died following a violent head-on crash in Riverside Tuesday. The deadly wreck was caught on video from a nearby home.
The 22-year-old man driving the Honda was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The 25-year-old woman in the Nissan, her 10-year-old sister and 16-year-old brother were also transported in critical condition. Their 8-year-old sibling was pronounced dead.
Officials said multiple people were trapped as well as ejected from both vehicles.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
