10-year old girl rescued after falling into ice cave

A terrifying close call for 10-year old Sacramento County girl. She falls 10-feet into an ice cave in the Tahoe National Forest.

Part of Samantha White's ordeal was caught on video. You can barely see her, hanging-on as her father tries to keep her from falling...but he can't do it.

The family called 9-1-1, and was told help was an hour way. Just then, a group of men showed up. They were members of the Marin County Search and Rescue Team. They just so happened to be in the area for a training exercise.

Just minutes later, Samantha was back on the snow, unhurt and safe. The rescuers say they were at the right place, at the right time.

All of this happened as the family was out snow-shoeing.

Samantha says she was a little shaken-up...but it won't keep her away from the snow.
