PHOTO: Savannah officer comforts young child in hospital

SAVANNAH, Ga. - A Georgia police department shared a touching photo on Monday of an officer consoling a child.

According to the Facebook post, Officer Hurst, with the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, went above and beyond the call of duty to comfort a young boy

The picture shows Officer Hurst laying on a hospital bed with a toddler wrapped in his arms.

"In a time of need, Officer Hurst goes above and beyond to comfort a young child," the post said.
