A war crimes defendant dies after taking poison during a UN tribunal at The Hague.
You can hear the interpreter say, “I have taken poison”.
Former Bosnian Croat military chief Slobodan Praljak shouted: "I am not a war criminal" and appeared to drink from a small bottle.
It happened as the judge upheld his 20-year prison sentence for involvement in a campaign against Muslims in the early '90's.
An ambulance was called to the court and the defendant pronounced dead.
The judge has declared the courtroom to be a crime scene.
