The unidentified felony suspect had holed up inside a house in the 2300 block of Pearson Avenue, Deputy Grace Medrano said.

A Special Weapons Team from the sheriff's Special Enforcement Bureau was called to the scene, but the barricaded man surrendered about 8:45 a.m. to deputies before the SEB unit arrived, Medrano said.

The sheriff's department did not immediately disclose the suspect's name, the alleged crime for which he was arrested or how long the barricade lasted.
