Son killed, mother injured in Rancho Palos Verdes house fire
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. (FOX 11) - One person was killed and two others, including a firefighter, were injured in an early morning house fire in Rancho Palos Verdes.
The blaze at the single-story home was reported around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the 2000 block of Trudie Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A man who we're told is in his 40s and his mother were inside the home at the time of the fire. Both were taken to a hospital, where the man died, authorities said. The condition of the female victim was not immediately known.
Authorities said a firefighter suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
A knockdown was called at 12:56 a.m., according to a county fire dispatcher.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
