Police looking for man who escapes LA facility months before parole

Police are searching for an inmate who was almost finished with his sentence when he walked away from a half-way house this weekend.

Donald T. Tarin was sentenced to more than five years in prison for a DUI and causing great bodily injury.

He was scheduled for release in November. But now if he's recaptured he'll be facing more time on new charges.

Tarin was in what's called a "community re-entry program" facility.

But he removed his electronic monitoring device and disappeared.

He's five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

As you can see... He has multiple tattoos on his face and neck including a prominent "W" on his cheek-bone.
