New York murder/rape suspect arrested in LA; refuses to attend arraignment

Tuesday Danueal Draydon was arrested in North Hollywood. Friday, he was supposed to be in an LA courtroom but, according to a bailiff, he refused to show up. And, this on a day when the father of one of the people he is alleged to have killed speaks out in New York.

An emotional dad of 29-year-old Samantha Stewart, who was found dead in her Queens New York home July 17th, lashed out at law enforcement for not keeping Danueal Draydon behind bars after other crimes he had committed before his daughter was strangled to death.

The suspect 27-year old Draydon was also tied to a Brooklyn rape by DNA and connected to both crimes.

When found Tuesday in North Hollywood by a regional task force on the hunt for Draydon, police say he had another woman tied up in a motel room and was in the comission of another crime and that's why he was due in an LA court. But, when he refused to show up for his arraignment, Judge Leland Harris signed an extraction order in his courtroom demanding that Daydon be extracted from his jail cell and brought to court Monday.

New York officials say Draydon used social media apps like TINDER to find his victims. They allege he could be a serial killer and may be linked to as many as 7 other murders.

Authorities also say has a long rap sheet dating back to 2011 in new haven, Connecticut that includes strangulation, 2 incidents of unlawful restraint, violating an order of protection, conspiracy to commit burglary and harassment. And, on June 30th he was arrested in Nassau county and charged with strangulation.

Meanwhile, after his LA legal matters are wrapped up New York officials say they intend to have him extradited back to New York for trial there.
