Long Beach woman who rescued handicapped dog is looking for a forever home

(FOX 11) - A Long Beach woman who rescued a badly injured dog behind her house is now looking for a forever home for Maggie.

Around Thanksgiving, Laura says she found this little dog with her legs severely wounded.

She immediately took her to a long beach animal hospital,and has been paying for the dog's medical bills

Over the weeks, she's been recovering well. But she does need a walker to get around

It's not clear what happened to Maggie's legs.

The vets say she was not run over by a car.
