LAPD searches for missing 5-year-old child

Los Angeles Transit Services police asked for the public's help on Sunday to find a 5-year-old child who went missing at Union Station.

Lorenzo Capriccio was last seen about 8 p.m. Saturday, Transit Services Detectives reported.

Capriccio's mother told police that Lorenzo may be with a family member in the San Diego area. San Diego police have been notified about the missing child, the LAPD reported.

Lorenzo is black. He stands 3 feet 5 inches tall, has brown eyes and short black hair, police said.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Lorenzo was asked to call LAPD's Transit Services Division watch commander at (213) 922-1410. Tipsters can also call the LAPD's 24-hour tipline at (877) LAPD-24-7 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
