LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Thousands of fans are expected to pack into the Staples Center Thursday in downtown Los Angeles to honor the life of rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed in front of his South Los Angeles clothing store in a community he was committed to changing for the better.
Those unable to attend the event will be able to pay their respects to Hussle in a 25.5-mile funeral procession set to make its way throughout the South Los Angeles area following the service.
The procession was slated to begin around noon.
The planned route will depart from the Staples Center and move south on Vermont Avenue.
It will then head east and circle through the Watts neighborhood before going back west on Century Boulevard to Inglewood.
The procession will then move through Inglewood and pass Hussle’s The Marathon Clothing store, located at 3420 West Slauson Avenue F in the Hyde Park area of South Los Angeles.
The procession will end at the Angelus Funeral Home, located at 3875 Crenshaw Boulevard in the Crenshaw District.
