Disneyland's new annual 'Flex Passport' goes on sale May 21; SoCal resident ticket returns

(FOX 11) - A new Disneyland annual pass that offers multiple ways to visit the resort is the $599 flex pass will go on sale May 21 and may be used starting the same day, officials announced on the Disney Parks Blog site.

The new Flex pass that combines value and flexibility will go in between the $399 SoCal Select, which has the most restrictions, and the more expensive $799 Deluxe that has fewer blockout dates.

None of the existing annual passes are being eliminated.

Flex passholders will have unlimited access to both parks on off-peak days, Monday through Thursday during most of February, March, April, May, September and October. A few 'good to go' days fall on Fridays in November, January, February and March.

Flex passholders will also need to make an advance reservation using the Disneyland website or app for most of June, July and August as well as the weeks of Spring Break, Thanksgiving and leading into Christmas break and all weekends throughout the year.

Also, for a limited-time SoCal residents can buy a 3-Day, 1-Park Per Day Ticket for just $60 per day and can be purchased through May 20th.

These tickets are valid for use now through May 23, 2019, excluding the following blockout dates: April 14 through April 22, 2019. Tickets expire on May 23, 2019.

This announcement comes ahead of the much-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Spanning 14-acres, the epic new land will be the most ambitious, immersive and transformative land ever created in a Disney park. Guests also will be able to enjoy a new Super Hero-themed land in Disney California Adventure park in 2020.
