Burned body found in car in Westminster parking lot

WESTMINSTER (FOX 11/CNS) - A body was found Wednesday morning in the trunk of a burned vehicle in Westminster.

Officers were called about 2:40 a.m. to the rear parking lot of 6422 Industry Way by Orange County Fire Authority crews who had responded to the scene about 20 minutes earlier for a vehicle fire, according to a statement from the Westminster Police Department.

While extinguishing the fire, a body was found in the backseat of the car, the statement said.

Police detectives and arson investigators are at the scene conducting an investigation.
