Burglary crew hits Apple store in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa police are searching for five people suspected of burglarizing an Apple store at South Coast Plaza.

Police say the suspects got away with $29,000 worth of merchandise- iPhones and iPads that were taken from displays at the store.

Police were called to the mall about 9 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses say the suspects got away in a silver Infinity sedan and they were not armed.

Police say the suspects are described as black men in their 20s.
