Body found in van with note during Corona bomb threat, residents evacuated

Some one-thousand people are back in their homes Wednesday morning after they were evacuated for 8-hours, when a man's body was found in a possibly booby-trapped van in Corona.

The man's body was found in the van parked in an alley with a note saying 'DEADLY GAS' at about 10:30am yesterday morning.

Police evacuated the area…and brought in bomb searching robots to break the van windows and remove several suspicious items.

No poisonous gas was found.

Neighborhood residents were allowed to return home at about 7:00pm Tuesday night.

The coroner is working to identify the body found in the van. Meanwhile, the fire department is trying to identify a liquid that was found in a five-gallon bucket in the van.
