Police in standoff with stabbing suspect after chase

A woman and two children were wounded during a stabbing attack Sunday in Panorama City, and a suspect reportedly connected to the incident was in a standoff with police in Glendale.

The attack occurred about 1:10 p.m. in the 8800 block of Tobias Avenue, according to Officer Irma Tobias of the LAPD's Media Relations Section. She said details about the slashings were still being ascertained by police.

The victims were rushed to hospitals and their medical conditions were not immediately known, Mota said.

A suspect in connection to the stabbing led authorities on a chase and remained in a standoff at a construction area in Glendale.
