On Oct. 26, 2006, Aguilar's body was found in the trunk of a burning car stashed under the Firestone Avenue Bridge over the Los Angeles River in South Gate. The details of his murder are unclear, but investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are looking for two persons of interest.
It's believe that one young man nick-named "Cito" and another known as "Pookie" have information that could identify Jesse Aguilar's killer(s) and lead to their arrest.
Detectives as well as Aguilar's friends and family are hoping that someone can help them clear this case so that all those who loved Jesse can go on with their lives. Anyone with any information are urged to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-TIPS. A reward may be available.
