LA's Most Wanted: Killer In Drive-By Shooting Of Olataga 'OJ' Filemoni

(FOX 11) - Olataga Filemoni was a very strong young man. So strong that he was able to cling to life for almost three days after he was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Long Beach.

Fulemoni, who was affectionately called "OJ" by his friends and family, was standing outside his home on Baltic Avenue with three other young men on Friday, July 25, 2014. At about 11 p.m., a car drove up and someone inside started shooting.

OJ was shot three times, but he did not die until Monday afternoon.

Fulemoni had no connection to gangs but Long Beach police suspect that the 25-year-old man of Samoan ancestry was shot by gang members who were looking for someone to kill that night.

There is a reward of $10,000 being provided by the City of Long Beach.

Detective Greg Krabbe can be reached at (562) 570-7244. Anyone wishing to provide information anonymously can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
