LA's Most Wanted: 1997 Murder Trial Witness Shot Execution-Style

(FOX 11) Eighteen years ago Frances Sugich was killed execution-style to prevent her from testifying at a murder trial.

The 22-year-old mother of a young son was going to be a critical part of the case against an accused gang member. Instead, investigators say Sugich was forced into a bedroom in her La Puente home and shot in the back of her head.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigators feel certain that there are many people who know exactly who is responsible for the death of Ms. Sugich, but they have consistently refused to help because they are afraid of being murdered themselves.

Anyone with any information about the unsolved murder of Frances Sugich in La Puente on Friday, April 25, 1997, is urged to call either the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at (323) 890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
