One of Vegas' most well known residents says for years, many suspected attack

One of Las Vegas's most well known residents, says many suspected a large attack for years.

"Vegas has been a soft target for a long time," said The Lifestyles of the Rich star Robin Leach.

He never thought it would be like this.

"I mean...worse than shooting fish in a bucket," said Leach about Sunday's shooting.

The English entertainment reporter and writer was driving close to Mandalay Bay Sunday when the shooting started.

"This fleet of police cars came in the opposite direction on the other side of the street there and you knew there was something serious going on," said Leach.

Leach's own friend injured himself escaping the rain of bullets.

"He broke down along with his left side, his left body and left leg a metal fence from people gate crashing the festival," said Leach.

He fears Vegas Is forever changed.

"I think New Years Eve is going to be completely different to what we've seen in the past. I just can't imagine that they would allow 330 thousand people walking on the street," said Leach.

But Leach says he is certain the city will become even stronger because of what it's experienced.

"If there is any bright light out of this its that the community of Vegas proved to the world it is incredibly strong incredibly resilient," said Leach.
