Rescuers seek whale trapped in metal cage

Rescuers in Orange County are on the look-out for a gray whale with a metal frame stuck on its head. In this photo provided by Captain Dave's Dolphin and Whale Safari, you can see the whale is caught in a crab trap. This picture was taken off the coast of Dana Point on Saturday. The National Marine Fisheries Service is asking boaters to report any sightings of this whale last seen heading north Fishing gear entanglements have been on the rise in the past few years with 71 different cases of entangled whales off the coasts of Washington, Oregon and California last year alone.
