Wednesday's Child: Jorden looking for a forever family

It's the New Year and we're still in Holiday mode here at Wednesday's Child. We went to the Annual Holiday Ice Rink at Pershing Square, well, to get in on some ice time and to wrap up the holidays with some last minute gifting. With us is Jorden (2005), a bright friendly kid with an "animated" dream.

With a heartfelt love for video games, you'd think Jorden would rather be sedentary than active. When presented the opportunity to go ice skating, Jorden jumped at the chance and showed us the many dimensions that make up this dynamic kid. While Jorden has skated before, he was more than willing to take in some expert skating advice from an instructor. For many kids in foster care, they learn "to do" on their own and parallel for Jordan, he's had to go much of it alone but wants people in his life to show him how. On this day, Jorden was a natural on the ice but took in with great concentration, important fundamentals about skating.

Jorden also plays basketball and paired with his athleticism is an artistic streak. He loves to sketch and his focus on videogames harmonizes a career focus to be a game designer and a cartoon artist. Jorden hopes his ultimate achievement will be having his own cartoon series.

There were special games Jorden wanted this past holiday season and the Wednesday's Child Team delivered, evidenced by his ear to ear smile. Jorden would like a family open and supportive to him maintain significant relationships. Tune in to Wednesday's Child and then call to learn about adoption at 1-866-921-ADOPT (2367)
