Two Lancaster sheriff's deputies save father, baby from apartment fire

Two Lancaster sheriff's deputies are being called heroes for saving a man and his baby from an apartment fire.

Residents were evacuated from a burning apartment building that was engulfed in flames telling authorities that everyone was out safe, but deputies Harris and Goldstein ran up the stairwell just to make sure.

They saw a door that was shut and locked and pounded on it.

When no one answered, they broke the door down.

Inside they found a man and his baby they were both sleeping and had no idea the building was on fire.

The deputies evacuated them.

The dad is very grateful thanking the deputies for saving their lives.
