Los Angeles City honors FOX 11, KTTV for 70th anniversary as local station

Tuesday saw a very special honor for Fox 11 and KTTV as the station celebrates its 70th anniversary on the airwaves -- the city declared Jan. 15 KTTV Day in Los Angeles.

Members of the Fox 11 team -- anchors, reporters and managers, were down at City Hall to accept a proclamation honoring KTTV's 70th anniversary as a local station.

"Whereas KTTV has been a part of the fabric of southern California for the past 70 years…The Los Angeles City Council hereby declares January 15, 2019 as KTTV Day in the City of Los Angeles and Congratulates KTTV on 70 years of providing news and information to the people of Los Angeles," read in part the proclamation.
