4 dead, driver arrested in suspected DUI crash in Santa Ana

Authorities say four people have been killed in a suspected DUI crash at a Southern California intersection.

Police arrested the 28-year-old driver of a Jeep that investigators say sped through a red light and crashed into a pickup truck around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Santa Ana. The driver was later identified as Vincent Michael Calvo.

Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says both vehicles flipped over several times. All four occupants of the pickup died at the scene. They were later identified as Jose Alberto Avila-Rosas, 31, Ziomara Zaragoza, 23, Antonio Alonso Santibanez, 23, and Prisma Yuliana Montoya, 34.

The Orange County Register says the Calvo could face charges including murder and driving under the influence causing injury or death. It wasn't known if Calvo has an attorney.

Bertagna says Calvo wasn't hurt badly and was uncooperative with officers. He's being held in lieu of $4 million bail.
