Bodycam video of deadly officer-involved shooting in Pasadena released
PASADENA, Calif. (FOX 11) - Police in Pasadena have released bodycam footage of a deadly officer-involved shooting that happened earlier this year.
On May 17, officers responded to the 1500 block of Glen Ave. around 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a man armed with a gun and yelling gang slurs.
Once on scene officers spotted the suspect in the front yard of a home holding a firearm and wearing “a ballistic bullet proof vest” the Pasadena Police Department said.
Video from officers' body-worn cameras shows the suspect pointing a weapon at officers. He fired at least one shot and officers returned fire. The suspect, identified as Daniel Warren, then ran in between two homes, where officers located him and used non-lethal means in an attempt to get him to surrender. But police say he did not move from his location.

Officers approached Warren and took him into custody, then began performing life-saving efforts, but he ultimately died from his injuries, the department said.
A rifle with a large capacity drum style magazine and handgun were found near Warren, police said.
No officers were injured during the shooting.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office Officer Involved Shooting Team, and the Pasadena Police Department Professional Standards Detectives.
After the investigation is completed the Pasadena police chief will make a final determination whether the officers involved acted within
department policy.
Police have made all the body-cam footage available to the public. They can be viewed on the city’s website.
