3.0 earthquake rattles areas southwest of Imperial

A small 3.0 earthquake has rattled parts of Southern California, but there have been no reports of damage or injury.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 3.3 magnitude quake hit at 6:56 a.m. Wednesday, and was centered about 3 miles southwest of Imperial in Imperial County.

The USGS also reported the 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck closest to El Centro just 4-miles northwest.

Authorities in Imperial County say there have been no calls of injuries or damage as a result of the quake.
