Woman Shot And Killed Sitting In Car

(FOX 11 / CNS) An intense manhunt was underway for a possible gunman after police found a woman fatally shot in a car in the 3200 block of Isabel drive at around 2:50am this morning.

LAPD Captain Jeff Bert said, "The neighborhood was on lockdown, people were asked to stay inside and lock their doors"

By 5 o'clock That lockdown was lifted after police took four people into custody for questioning who live on the block, two women and two men.

Homicide detectives describe how they found the victim. LAPD detective Larry Burcher says, "officers found a woman in a car with a single gun shot wound in the upper torso of body."

Detectives say they do not believe it was self inflicted and would not say if a gun was recovered at the scene.
